In the great land of Allance, there are two kingdoms. One side is called Lucem, the Kingdom of Day. The other is Noctis, the Kingdom of Night. The Great War started hundreds of years ago, when Queen Eosos ruled Lucem and King Umbra ruled Noctis, but still it prevails, tearing the two kingdoms apart...
Races (Species):
Shaeza: Shapeshifters who can morph themselves into animals or objects. Neutral in the Great War.
Virics: Innocents with fangs that usually crave blood (vampires). Mainly sided with Noctis in the Great War.
Akkimis: Animal-human hybrids with animal tails & ears or wings as well as patches of fur, scales, or feathers. They sometimes have whiskers. On both sides of the Great War, but enslaved in Noctis (free in Lucem). They have a strongly spiritual, peaceful religion that is considered strange to the other races. They were the original race of Allance before the other races arrived.
Demons: Sided with Noctis in the Great War, but plan to take over all of Allance for themselves once they win.
Angels: Sided with Lucem in the Great War, but do not fight.
Innocents: Humans. On both sides of the Great War.
Loares: Normal appearance is human, but excessive anger or a full moon can cause them to morph into a wolf being (werewolves). On both sides of the Great War, though mainly Noctis.
Elves: Sided with Lucem in the Great War. Mainly skilled in archery, however some have (limited) nature powers.
Dwarves: On both sides of the Great War. Able to make weapons and fight with a close range.
Celestics: Beings that possess Magick. Mainly humans, but can be of the other races. On both sides of the Great War. Have the most strong powers. Disguise themselves to avoid capture.
Creatures:
Wisps: Ghost-like creatures that are said to guide beings that die to the afterlife.
Sirens: Sing with beautiful voices to bring sailors and swimmers to watery deaths.
The Bakunawa (Orlaic): A monstrous creature said to lurk in the Fusfa Sea (east of Allance, on the coast). Named “Orlaic” by the locals, and usually avoided in the routes of those who want to trade with Noctis or Lucem.
Great-Wings: Dragons. Becoming extinct, though some are rumored to be in captivity by the current ruler of Noctis.

Lucem is in the north. It has beautiful architecture and many gardens. Noctis is in the south, it has much more practical landscaping and does not trade as much as Lucem, for they are not very trusting. They are separated by a long, tall wall that only has one gate, which has been sealed, making it nearly impossible to go between the two kingdoms, but there is one underground tunnel. To the east is the Fusfa Sea, where traders come and the Bakuwana is said to attack their ships. To the west is the battlegrounds, where the war is fought. Civilians are not allowed on the battlegrounds.
Men are instantly drafted in Noctis, their population is smaller than Lucem's, and women have the choice to join the battles. In Lucem they do not draft, though highly encourage citizens to fight. They are fighting due to Noctis believing Lucem took its heir.
