Jimmy is a good natured kid, that trys his best to be polite and curteous. He hates violence, and is the type of kid that would not even hurt a fly. He is very sensitive and emotional. The abuse he had been subjected to by his now dead birth parents made him a very scared little boy. Just about everything makes him scared. He's very slow at understanding things, which makes school hard for him.
Jimmy is known for being loving towards people, he trusts people until they show him that they should not be trusted. He is full of curiosity, and this makes him a pest at times to some people. He is often overwhelmed with emotions when talking, and can be hard to understand at times. He tends to help others more than he helps himself with things. His small size is often hard on him, but he makes up for it with spirit.
Jimmy loves animals, but big dogs can scare him. Cats seem to love the little boy, and he usually treats animals with the same respect that he shows to people. The boy does his best to please people, yet it seems he often tries too hard, and he does not understand why he sometimes loses people's interest in him. Jimmy was living a great life, until about three years ago, when his parents started drinking heavily. They then started abusing the boy, physically, and emotionally. He'd wake up in the mornings, to his father standing there. As soon as the boy would stand up, his Dad would start hitting him. He would get hit from both parents all day, until he was finally able to go to sleep. This abuse took it's toll on the boy, and as he aged, he did not grow much. The fact that they barely fed Jimmy, and neglected his basic needs, made it so he was very small for his age.
When he was finally fed up with the abuse, Jimmy decided to run away. This was shortly after he turned eight. After almost a month on the streets, he soon learned that he could not survive on his own. He returned home, to find that his house had been burned down. He found out that his parents had died in the fire. Left with no one and nowhere to go, the boy returned to living on the streets. He hitched hiked until he got to town, and the last driver had tried to hurt him. He'd been in town for only a week.
