Us at RPG Time DO NOT want any flaming at all on the boards. P.M.s are an exception, but please follow these rules below in order to ensure no flame wars break. Failure to follow these rules results in an instant permanent ban, no warnings or exceptions.
I believe these are fair and easy rules, so... Debate away!
1. Be mature.
This does not mean talking about mature topics, or being intelligent. It simply means to not rage and to talk in an adult, mature manner.
2. Respect each other's opinions.
There is a line between debating and outright flaming. Debating is arguing but without the rage. You can get your point across without calling others dumb fucks that don't deserve a place on Earth.
3. Use correct grammar.
Do not just wel fuk u i dun reeserch and vegterbls r gud 4 u so ur stuupide! That is just plain dumb. You make yourself look stupid and immature. Dyslexia is no excuse, run it through a spellchecker. I won't require you to be a walking dictionary lawyer, but please use correct grammar whenever possible.
4. Nobody's being 'mean'.
This is the internet. People's opinions will differ, and just because you've been proved wrong it doesn't mean you've been 'bullied'.
5. At least use 1 point in a reply.
If you are not debating, your thread will be locked and the thread owner will be given 9 warnings. 1 more warning and they are banned. So 'Well I'm right!' is not a point.
6. Once your point has been proved wrong, do not use that point again.
So if it's been disproved that vegans live longer, and you cannot think of something else to prove vegans live longer, then do not use the point that vegans live longer again in that debate.
